@resonanceknight @Scholars_Stage @pauljamesharper Good point. But most histories of Southeast Asia I have found spend a lot of time on the upper half of the peninsula. I guess a more regional approach is all I can hope for. Or maybe look for a cultural/ethnic history of Malay peoples?
