    @wesinjapan Funny, Tanegashima was actually the first island we considered for 離島留学 but it was pretty far to make my research trips to Fukuoka and Nagasaki. We ended up on Iki. Rent here is cheap & the internet is fast, and it is only an hour on the jetfoil to Fukuoka! Perfect for remote

      @wesinjapan Mind you, Tanegashima is a REALLY cool place. Interesting history and space center! Plus the weather is great (except for right now).
