@alexanderlee1 Apparently the Ise-Shima area is a big spot for spiny lobsters, something about the local ecology. The long antennae are a symbol of long life, and these things are in high season in the winter, so they are put in lots of New Years food. Ise Jingu is a hotspot for New Years.
