@wesinjapan @SeanLotman @ninja_padrino @deepkyoto I haven’t been keeping up, but it’s my understanding that financially Kyoto is in the red, and with all the big companies moving to Shiga or Osaka, they don’t have much of a corporate tax base. And it is expensive to run Kyoto. Was this the problem tourism was supposed to solve?
