    Some pics from the ruins, which is now mostly grasslands and farms. Even the stones had been destroyed by shogunate forces. 40,000 were killed. Here is Unzen from the castle, a monument, statue of Amakusa Shirō, and an informative sign. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amakusa_Shir%C5%8D 2/2
